Capri's first feeling was embarrassment. Why were there always people like that roaming around her hometown? And why did they feel the need to give the place an even worse reputation? She sighed and shook her head, mentally begging the flush on her face to disappear.

"Why are there so many freaks in the area! What's next, Squattal's familly?"
He kept watch on the three, not wanting to be attacked as soon as he turned around. He was too focused to notice that there was anything was behind him. He trips, falling backwards, the force causing him to let the gun slip out of his hand. Whyerd was groaning from the pain, until he heard an evil, happy voice say, "I'm sorry to be in your way." Whyerd's eyes widen with fear, as the mutated turtle of death turns around and greets, "Hi, Whyerd!"
Whyerd screams, if he was being burned while his eyes were being pulled out. He continues the scream, looking for the gun. Not able to locate the weapon and not wanting a repeat of earlier, Whyerd gets up and starts running away, as if he didn't had injuries.
Squattal stood confused, wondering why his friend was scared.

Lathicas’ first thought when the man falls is that the name suits him. He eyed the large turtle as he loosened his hold on Kallen, whose growls had stopped for a moment when Whyred had fallen. The dragon was growling a little in his throat but was no longer straining to launch himself in the air, his eyes now rested on the beast in front of them.

This is just too creepy... Capri could do nothing but stare in disbelief at the turn of events. "First I'm off to find mermaids, then I come across a dragon, and now... this?" She muttered, putting a hand to her forehead and closing her eyes. "This has to be some killer headache..." And Capri had realized that through everything that was happening, she had forgotten all about the throbbing in her head. Until, that is, she had mentioned it outloud.
Feeling a bit woozy, Capri grabbed onto the closest thing she could feel. It happened to be Lathicas' arm. When finally the world seemed to stop spinning, she let go. Mumbling, she apologized. "I'm really sorry about that... I blame the sun." Capri shielded her eyes and glanced up at it. "It only helps worsen headaches..."

Squattal, after thinking of various scenerios of Whyerd being scared, decides to go with one of his hunches, "Maybe the thing that scared Whyerd, is behind me."
He turns around, to see a man, young woman, and a dragon. Though not scary to him, he wants to solve the mystery, "Did you guys scare, Whyerd?"

Lathicas’ hand had come up to hold Capri’s when she grabbed on to him. He was about to tell her that it was all right when the turtle spoke.
With a frown he told it, “He didn’t seem all that scared of us really. After all he had a gun pointed at us most of the time. He only ran after you go here.”
He then looked at Capri again. “Do you have anything for your headache?” he asked.

Capri's throat thickend as Lathicas caught her hand. She forced a smile, though butterflies were practically pinging around in her stomach like a pinball machine. But she caught herself just as he turned to that turtle, which Capri was still in disbelief that it was actually talking. She nodded in agreement at what Lathicas had said, but then shook her head when he asked if she had something to help her headache.
"No. Normally I just grin and bear it." She tried to grin but it looked more like a grimace. "I can get some when I go home today. I don't feel like putting up with stupid tourists at the General Store." Instantly she covered her mouth, shock widened her eyes. "I-I only mean... the stupid ones... not you though..." Mentally, she winced. Nice going, Capri.
